Human Resources Specialist
Location: Honolulu, HI 
Pay: $20–$30/hour
Temporary to hire opportunity, Full-time, In-office 
Position Overview
Bishop & Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to support a dynamic organization in Honolulu. This role is responsible for benefits administration, employee relations, HR compliance, and HRIS data management.

This is a great opportunity for an HR professional to contribute to a growing team and play a key role in driving positive employee experience and operational success.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the daily operations of the HR/Benefits team
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance reviews of HR staff
• Serve as a point of contact for benefits vendors and third-party administrators
• Administer employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives)
• Maintain and manage HRIS data, reporting, and system accuracy
• Oversee workers’ compensation claims and coordinate with insurance providers
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
• Analyze HR data and assist with reporting and process improvements

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in human resources (benefits, employee relations, recruiting, or training & development)
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, OSHA, HIPAA, and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and data management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
