Equipment Operator

Outdoor Pride Landscaping

Description

This role will report to a property near the Salem, NH area.

The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment which may include: front end loader, skid steer, tenant sweeper, Kubota tractor & attachments. Operator will use the equipment to perform a variety of tasks which may include snow removal, parking lot cleanup & landscape maintenance client sites.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Operates equipment to complete a variety of job tasks to assist with landscape enhancement projects.
Cleans, lubricates, and maintains equipment.
Conducts daily equipment inspections reports on equipment before use.
Reports any repair issues or equipment hazards immediately.
Secures special attachments to equipment.
Assists with general labor duties when needed, in order to complete landscape construction projects.
Wears appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
Completes daily paperwork detailing job hours and costs.
Complies with all company policies and procedures.
Works in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge and understanding of operating equipment.
Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Excellent observation skills and strong attention to detail.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
Speak, read, and write English.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Vocational Certification.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating similar equipment.
Valid Driver's License.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time, and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requires good manual dexterity.
Excellent stamina is required.
Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.
Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold.
Work flexible hours including occasional weekends.
