Job Title: Mechanical Designers

Location: Merritt Island, FL

Pay Rate: $50-60/hr. W2

Employment Type: 6 months; contract-hire

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking multiple mid and senior-level Mechanical Designers for an aerospace manufacturer which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in tooling design or drafting looking to further their career in space systems production.

• Design and release CAD models and engineering drawings for tooling per ASME Y14.5 standards
• Solve technical design challenges for assembly fixtures, test equipment, and specialized machinery
• Manage tooling projects from concept through commissioning, including procurement, fabrication, and proof testing
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize safety, quality, and reliability; support root cause analyses and corrective actions

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates
• 3+ years of direct manufacturing experience with expertise in tooling design, fabrication, and procurement
• Proficiency with CAD software (Creo Parametric preferred), GD&T, and mechanical design fundamentals
• CREO is mandatory
• Aerospace or highly regulated industry experience

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

• Understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, welding, sheet-metal operations) and tolerance stack-up analysis
