Calendar/Docket Clerk

Responsibilities

Calculate, review, and calendar state, federal, appellate, Office of Administration Hearing, and other litigation deadlines in the firm's calendar/docketing system

Review and process incoming and outgoing mail, emails, faxes, and e-filings to ensure all critical deadlines are accurately calendared

Maintain case matter lists and personnel assignments to ensure accurate Outlook calendar integration

Create, update, and distribute calendar reports, hearing schedules, and deadline notifications

Respond promptly to attorney, timekeeper, and legal assistant inquiries regarding calendaring matters

Monitor and maintain the accuracy of all calendaring deadlines and case-related events

Research hearings, deadlines, and court information using state and federal court websites as needed

Support ongoing docketing operations while ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and procedures

Qualifications

24 years of law firm experience required

Strong knowledge of appellate, federal, state, and local court rules, procedures, and litigation terminology

Experience using legal calendar/docketing software; CompuLaw experience preferred

Ability to calculate and manage complex litigation deadlines accurately

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation

Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Impeccable attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a legal support team

Physical and Work Requirements

Fully on-site role with regular in-office attendance

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (files, mail bins, office supplies)

Frequent walking, standing, bending, and movement throughout the office

Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based and clerical tasks

Prolonged use of computers, typing, and screen exposure

Operation of standard office equipment (copiers, scanners, printers, and multi-line phones)

Standard 40-hour workweek with occasional overtime as required
