SAP Analyst- SuccessFactors

Responsibilities

The IT Analyst is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and optimizing SAP SuccessFactors solutions that enable effective Human Resources processes across the organization. This role works closely with HR business partners, IT teams, system integrators, and end users to gather requirements, configure solutions, troubleshoot issues, support integrations, and deliver continuous improvements across SuccessFactors modules.
The IT Analyst position will identify process, data, and application improvements and support the definition and creation of documentation to facilitate prioritization and of the technical specifications required for resolution.
This position requires a high degree of technical knowledge. This role will interface with both technical and business resources, so effective communication skills are required.

This role can be hybrid/onsite in Rochester, New York OR Oakdale, Minnesota.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with HR stakeholders to understand business needs, document requirements, and translate them into scalable SAP SuccessFactors solutions.
• Configure and maintain SuccessFactors modules such as Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Compensation, Learning, Succession, or Workforce Analytics based on business priorities.
• Analyze current HR processes and recommend system and process improvements that increase efficiency, data quality, compliance, and user experience.
• Support production operations by investigating incidents, resolving system issues, coordinating fixes, and ensuring timely communication with business users.
• Prepare functional specifications for reports, integrations, workflows, business rules, permissions, and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with technical teams on interfaces, data migration, integration testing, security roles, and deployment activities.
• Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and validation activities for configuration changes, integrations, releases, and enhancements.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, document results, track defects, and support business sign-off before production deployment.
• Maintain system documentation, configuration guides, training materials, support procedures, and release notes.
• Monitor SuccessFactors release updates, assess business impact, and recommend adoption of relevant new features.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience supporting or implementing SAP SuccessFactors in a functional analyst, business analyst, HRIS, or application support role.
• Strong understanding of HR business processes and how they are supported within cloud-based HR technology platforms.
• Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, documentation, and production support.
• Ability to troubleshoot functional issues, analyze root causes, and coordinate solutions across business and technical teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to business users clearly.
• Experience working with ticketing systems, change management processes, and structured release or deployment practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP SuccessFactors certification in one or more modules.
• Experience with Employee Central, integrations, role-based permissions, business rules, workflows, and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of SAP HCM, payroll integrations, middleware, APIs, or integration platforms such as SAP Cloud Integration or Boomi.
• Familiarity with data privacy, audit, compliance, and HR security requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a global, matrixed, or shared-services environment.
