Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Location: Jersey City Medical Center Department Name: Plant Operations Req #: 0000247356 Status: Hourly Shift: Day Pay Range: $26.95 per hour Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health is hiring for a Per Diem Maintenance Mechanic for Jersey City Medical Center. This is a Full-Time Day position. Qualifications High School graduate and on-the-job or formal training equivalent to a related program in an accredited vocational school. 3-5 years of experience; must be directly related to the general maintenance field preferable within a large healthcare facility or a commercial institution. Must possess and maintain a valid N.J. State Driver's License. Scheduling Requirements Per-Diem, Day Shift Essential Functions Performs general maintenance and repairs on buildings and equipment facility in a technically approved, safe and efficient manner. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (e.g. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors. Performs a wide variety of maintenance duties in and around the buildings of the Medical Center complex. Occasionally assists tradesmen and other workmen in completing tasks. Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment safely and effectively. Assists in removing snow from facility's grounds and maintains grounds as required.
