Accounts Payable Clerk

SUMMARY To record the invoices and expenses generated at store level via computer data entry. To give support to store personnel on accounting issues and correspond with vendors on related issues. To assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor with department functions and project. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES Entry and scanning/indexing of vendor invoices into accounting software Responsible for the invoicing side of a group of assigned stores Intake and distribution of store documents Reconcile vendor statements Clear communication with store team members and vendors Assist Accounts Payable Supervisor with daily operations, reconciliations, special projects, and process improvement Other duties as assigned KEY ATTRIBUTES Detail minded Organizational skills Communication skills Proficient with Word and Excel programs Problem solving abilities Strong math skills Ability to work in a team environment SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Or related experience and/or training; Or equivalent combination of education and experience; Proficiency with Office suite of products and familiarity with office equipment LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence and communicate appropriately with others. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other associates of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS There are no required certifications, licenses, or registrations.
