Using the new Inner tracking System (ITS) detector and the new O2 software to develop and optimize particle identification and selection using Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques. This includes the publication of the research results with frequent presentations at ALICE meetings and Conferences. The duties also include shifts at CERN during data taking.ResponsibilitiesExperimental data analysisSupervising students data analysisSummary report writingPublishing papers and conference presentationsRequired Qualifications:A PhD in Physics and experience in hadronic resonance and charm hadron reconstruction at high energy accelerator experiments.
