Assignments and locations to be determined. The position is part of a continuous recruiting effort to build a pool of qualified counselors. As openings arise, all qualified candidates will be considered. If a specific position becomes available, remaining candidates may be asked to apply again. Primary Responsibilities The School Counselor will assist students in dealing with problems and making decisions about their personal, social, and academic development. The Counselor will support students in choosing future schooling and occupational paths, and serve as a resource for parents, teachers, and other adults involved with the students. Essential Qualifications and Skills Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement as a school counselor, PreK-12 or equivalent. Possess an earned master’s degree in counseling with an emphasis in school counseling. Demonstrate the ability to support students by cooperatively working with parents and teachers. Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning. Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework. Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects diverse backgrounds and needs. Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families. Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment. Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities. Preference Given For Counselor and teaching experience. Employment Details Position Type: Full‑Time FLSA: Exempt Salary: $57,003.86 – $87,325.91 annually (Master’s scale), commensurate with experience. Benefits provided.
