Respiratory Therapy Clinical Educator

Hours of Work : OPEN Days Of Week : SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY ROTATING Work Shift : Job Description : Job Purpose A Respiratory Therapy Clinical Educator trains RT staff on new research, procedures, equipment, and best practices for respiratory care, developing programs, assessing skills, mentoring, and ensuring high standards of patient care. Job Requirements: Education:

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
Bachelor or Master Degree in Respiratory Care or Related Field, preferred

Licenses and/or Certifications:

Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by state of Texas.
Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, American Heart Association
Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS), American Heart Association
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification, American Academy of Pediatrics
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification, American Heart Association

Work Experience: * 3 years clinical experience required Methodist Richardson Medical Center is a 443-bed, full-service, acute care hospital that serves Richardson, Garland, Plano, and surrounding areas in Dallas and Collin counties. We are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center as well as the nation's first hospital to receive The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval ® for Pancreatic/Hepatic/Biliary Cancer Certification. We also provide services at Methodist Richardson Medical Center - Campus for Continuing Care, which include a behavioral health and addiction recovery unit, inpatient rehabilitation, long-term acute care, and more.
