About the Position

Job Title

Ambulatory OR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Location

Charleston, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | No weekends | No on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technologist duties in an ambulatory operating room setting across a 9-OR facility
• Complete cases as needed, including occasional late shifts on a rotating basis (one late week per four-week period)
• Float within the perioperative facility as needed and within scope of practice
• May be required to precept care team members in the operating room
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) if required

Required Qualifications

• Active NBSTSA certification (CST)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Radiation badge required (must be provided by placing agency)
• No first-time travelers accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in one or more of the following specialties: Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, or Surgical Oncology
• Prior experience precepting or mentoring surgical team members in the OR
