Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Float for a PCU/Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of experience and the flexibility to float throughout the hospital.

Details

• Hospital float pool position covering Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU units
• Patient ratios up to 1:7 in Med-Surg and 1:4-6 in other float settings
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float pool scheduling requires flexibility with no schedule requests accommodated

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• ICU/ED experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, ventilated patients, central/PICC line management, IV therapy, and cardiac/vasoactive drip management
• Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and management and use of Rapid Response/Code teams

Additional Information

• Float pool role providing care across multiple hospital units including ED, Med-Surg, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown
• Max 7 days of RTO per contract, which must be finalized at time of submission
• Holiday coverage required for major holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• If 3 major holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Previous Piedmont employees (permanent, PRN, or internal staff) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
• Returning travelers who were cancelled or deemed unable to return must complete one successful assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
