Key Responsibilities\n

Counselors at VITAS will engage primarily in the following activities:

• Provide compassionate, ethical individual counseling sessions via video conferencing to clients dealing with various mental health challenges.

• Utilize solution-based treatment modalities and evidence-based practices to tailor individual sessions to meet clients' unique needs.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that align with each client's goals and mental health requirements.

• Encourage clients to explore and gain insights into their experiences, emotions, and interpersonal relationships during sessions.

• Monitor client progress meticulously throughout the course of therapy, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness and satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary clientele comprises stable, low-acuity adults experiencing varying degrees of mental health issues. Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must:

• Hold a Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Possess one of the following fully licensed credentials: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Provisional or limited licenses are not acceptable.

• Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills coupled with an empathetic approach towards clients.

• Exhibit strong proficiency in using technology for remote counseling sessions and electronic documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with a background in telehealth services or experience working with clients addressing non-emergency mental health concerns will be given preference. Knowledge of integration with automated referral and scheduling systems will also be advantageous.
