Welding job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Safely and effectively operates TIG/MIG Welder to industry standards
• Reading blueprints, shop drawings and other instructions to assemble accurately and within tolerance.
• Identify/perform correct robotic welding parameters, procedures, and programs.
• Operate/observe robots to detect malfunctions or non-conformances and conducting quality checks to ensure the finish of parts and components is of the highest standard.
• Assist in developing new additive manufacturing procedures.
• Inspecting materials to ensure that they meet specifications for size, shape and consistency.
• Safely utilizes various metal shop tools including angle grinder component parts per engineering specifications.
• Skilled at assessing repair viability of damaged or broken parts and repairing or repurposing as needed.
• Manages workflow to ensure a clean and organized workplace.
• Cleans and organizes daily, or as needed to keep and maintain an organized and functional workplace.
• Collaborating with other department leaders regarding work progress, problems, or other issues that arise during the workday that could assist in completing production orders on time.
• Complying with internal policies and industry regulations.
• Other tasks as assigned

Our current hiring manufacturing brand locations in Salina:

• Vortex Dry Bulk & Solids Facility (West Campus) – Primary production site for bulk and solids handling components.
• Spectrum Metalcraft (East Campus) – Custom metal fabrication, abrasive blast and precision work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or vocational technical school.

• 1-2 years prior production shop experience complimentary but not required.
• TIG welding skills not required but a plus.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to read engineered drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

Current Available Shifts:

• Vortex Dry Bulk & Solids Facility (West Campus) - Day Shift - Monday through Thursday from from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm with possible overtime if required.
• Spectrum Metalcraft (East Campus) - Day Shift - Monday through Thursday from from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm with possible overtime if required.
• Vortex Dry Bulk & Solids Facility (West Campus) - Weekend Shift - Friday through Sunday from from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm with possible overtime if required.

Drug and Alcohol Policy

I understand that Velocity Flow Technologies maintains a drug and alcohol policy that may include pre-employment testing and testing during employment. Background and Consumer Reports

As part of the employment application process, Velocity Flow Technologies may obtain an investigative consumer report from a consumer reporting agency. This report may include information regarding my credit history, character, reputation, personal characteristics, and mode of living.

Benefits Waiting Period

If employed, I understand that eligibility for certain benefits may be subject to a thirty to sixty (30-60) day waiting period, and that the at-will employment relationship remains in effect during and after this period.
