Site Reliability Engineer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite.

This role is accountable for establishing and maintaining partnerships with Application Development and Production Support teams to implement prescribed Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) measures. The successful candidate will ensure appropriate instrumentation, tooling, alerting, and on-call routines are in place for key services, with a specific focus on automation, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, Camunda, Python, Consul, and Cloud technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain partnerships with Application Development and Production Support teams
• Implement measures prescribed by the Senior SRE and SRE teams
• Ensure appropriate instrumentation, tooling, ticketing, alerting, and on-call routines are in place
• Advocate and advance more efficient solution delivery practices
• Decompose issues or objectives into units of work for other team members

Requirements:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Terraform Enterprise, Ansible Automation, and Cloud environments
• Experience with Python, Ansible, Golang, and shell scripting
• Strong experience in major services related to Compute, Storage, Network, and Security
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Dynatrace, and cloud native tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
• Strong understanding of complex infrastructure, including RHEL and Windows Servers, OpenShift containers, Terraform, and Azure/AWS virtual resources
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Git/Jenkins and the GitOps model
• Excellent understanding of Linux/Windows operating systems administration
• Experience in Jira, Remedy, and other workload management tools

• HashiCorp Terraform/Red Hat Ansible certifications are a plus

Pay range: $58.31 - $66.31 per hour
