Job Description & Requirements HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Overland Park, Kansas. Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Ideal applicants are those that are dedicated, motivated, and proactive - ready to complete online paperwork and onboarding quickly. Unit Specifics: Number of Beds : 18 Patient Ratios : 1:4-5 Type of equipment :Alaris pumps, kangaroo pump, Pxysis, computers available in every room Documentation system: Meditech On Call Requirements: none Requirements: Minimum 1-year current acute care PCU hospital experience BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications This position is open to local candidates as well. The Telemetry & Pulm Step Down Unit (Tele/Pulm) cares for patients with moderate physiologic instability requiring support. Examples include COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF & trach patients. Tele/Pulm patients are hemodynamically stable that require cardiac & respiratory monitoring & management every 2-4 hours. The level of care of the Tele/Pulm unit requires less care than the ICU but more than that which is provided in the Medical/Surgical Units. This unit specializes in the care of cardiac and pulmonary patients.
