Internal Medicine Physician Assistant

Full-time Internal Medicine Physician Assistant needed to join Dr. Parekh and his established office-based practice at our Plant City Clinic. Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (or until all patients are seen). At least 1 years of previous experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an outpatient primary care office is preferred. Responsibilities * Providing comprehensive primary healthcare to adult patients (16), including ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests within the scope of practice * Accurately performs a history and physical examinations * Consults, co-manages, and refers patients as appropriate * Prescribes medications as delegated in protocol and procedures * Completes necessary documentation promptly * Writes orders for medications, treatments, tests & IV fluids consistent with the scope of practice of the APRN/PA and the overseeing Physician * Providing an assessment of the patient's medical, physical & psychological status * Documents examination results & records progress notes and provide continuity of care. Qualifications * BLS certification is required. * PA board certification is required. * Active, unrestricted FL license (or the ability to obtain FL license) is required.
