Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Level 2 trauma hospital's LDRP/OB unit, supporting vaginal and c-section deliveries on evening shifts.

Details

• Acute care setting within a Level 2 trauma hospital's LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) / OB Tech department
• Single suite handling vaginal and c-section deliveries
• No clinical involvement required for this role
• Evening shift from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., 40 hours per week
• Manager-created schedule with on-call requirement every third weekend
• 2 holidays per year coverage required
• May float to other areas as a helping hand or safety sitter, and may be offered float opportunities to the main OR
• Charge nurse present on each shift
• EPIC EMR used

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential via NBSTSA or NCCT required
• ND state license required if applicable
• UAP certification required
• Active state or compact licensure required for the state of submission

Additional Information

• Support vaginal and c-section deliveries within the LDRP/OB department
• Serve as a helping hand or safety sitter when floated to other units
• Work alongside a charge nurse present on every shift
• Upfront RTO must be 7 days or less per 13-week contract, with no additional RTO approved after submission
• Candidates must not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity
• Candidates must not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-associated facility within the past year, though PRN employment through outside staffing firms will be considered
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility and not be employed with any CommonSpirit-associated facility
