Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked law firm with a strong technology and venture capital platform seeking a 7 to 8 year Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Senior Associate to join its San Francisco office. This is a 100 percent transactional role focused on representing emerging and high growth technology companies and their investors across the full lifecycle, with an emphasis on private financings and related corporate work. The team offers a well established, partner led platform with sophisticated deal flow and meaningful client contact. The firm is known for a collaborative approach and a scalable national and international footprint that supports clients as they expand. The Opportunity You will advise on venture capital financings and private offerings, support fast moving growth company clients on governance and corporate matters, and collaborate with colleagues across offices to execute transactions efficiently. The position is based in San Francisco and requires in office presence five days per week. Ideal Candidate Profile The firm is seeking a 7 to 8 year Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Senior Associate with: 7 to 8 years of relevant corporate transactional experience at a major law firm Substantial experience advising on venture capital financings, private offerings, and emerging company transactions Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to run core workstreams with appropriate supervision Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a client service mindset Active admission to the California Bar Why This Opportunity Stands Out This role offers the chance to step into a busy emerging companies practice with meaningful responsibility, consistent exposure to sophisticated technology clients, and support from a collaborative team.
