Investment Advisor

Boutique institutional investment management firm (~$2.4B) is seeking an Investment Advisor to build and maintain a book of clients, provide financial guidance, create comprehensive financial plans, and contribute to the growth of the firm's presence in the community.

Responsibilities :
Build and manage a portfolio of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutional investors (such as endowments and foundations)
Conduct thorough financial analyses to assess clients' investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial situations, developing customized investment strategies
Meet regularly with clients to review their investment portfolios, provide advice, and address any questions
Create comprehensive financial plans that align with clients' goals, incorporating investment strategies, retirement planning, and risk management
Monitor clients' portfolios, review performance reports, and make necessary adjustments to ensure alignment with clients' goals and market conditions
Collaborate with internal teams, including client service, research analysts, and operations to deliver exceptional client service and achieve clients' objectives
Actively participate in business development activities, networking events, and community initiatives to expand the firm's presence in the local market
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, investment recommendations, and compliance documentation

Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
Relevant certifications such as CFA, CFP, CIMA, or similar credentials are strongly preferred
Series 65 or 66 preferred
Proven experience as an Investment Advisor, preferably in the financial services industry, with a successful track record of building and maintaining a book of clients
Strong knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and portfolio management strategies
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and critical thinking ability
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex financial concepts to clients
Proficiency in financial software and tools, including portfolio management systems and financial planning software
Demonstrated commitment to ethical and compliant business practices
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

The starting base salary is $100k. However, the Advisor will transition to a commission-based structure, where the Advisor will earn 50% of the revenue, in addition to receiving a marketing budget, firm support, and bonus. This figure can vary depending on factors such as skillset and experience level.
