- Oversee all corporate accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and treasury functions
- Manage Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting, Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, and job costing across approximately 400 active construction projects
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition, project profitability reporting, and over/under billings
- Lead, mentor, and develop the corporate accounting team while providing guidance to Regional Controllers
- Partner with executive and regional leadership to analyze financial results and improve operational performance
- Oversee monthly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Coordinate annual audits and maintain relationships with external auditors
- Strengthen internal controls, streamline accounting processes, and identify opportunities for efficiency
- Take a hands-on approach to accounting operations while balancing strategic leadership responsibilities
- Construction accounting experience required
- Strong Percentage of Completion (POC) and Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting experience required
- Previous Controller or senior accounting leadership experience
- Strong understanding of job costing, project profitability, revenue recognition, and over/under billings
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing accounting teams
- Viewpoint Spectrum experience highly preferred
- Experience in a private equity-backed or multi-entity organization is a plus
- Strong technical accounting background with expertise in financial reporting, month-end close, and reconciliations
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to delegate effectively while remaining involved in the details
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner confidently with executive leadership
