As an Academic Tutor & Mentor with City Year, you’ll serve full-time in a partner public school, helping students build academic skills, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging. You will provide targeted tutoring in core subjects, support classroom instruction, and mentor students to improve attendance, behavior, and course performance. Working within a diverse AmeriCorps team, you’ll collaborate with teachers, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to an inclusive, socially just school culture while gaining hands-on experience and professional development in education and youth development.
