If so, then you may be just the person we are looking for to work as part of a small team of developers, business analysts, and business owners to architect, develop, implement, support, and troubleshoot our firm's OLTP database and applications.Overall, our tight-knit Development team builds and maintains a large private website that is built primarily using Microsoft technologies, including.NET and SQL Server. We also have a public-facing site and mobile versions of our tools. Our development approach has always been "agile," and we recently revamped our team structure based on scrum.As a SQL developer, your responsibilities would include:Building the schema and SQL code behind our complex suite of web-based applicationsMaking sure data is stored efficiently and can be retrieved quickly (We maintain numerous databases and servers that integrate as an ecosystem to serve our clients' needs.)Troubleshooting and tuning complex SQL statements and making recommendations on indexing strategiesCreating data transformation jobs that load market and industry data from multiple sourcesWorking on a variety of projects and systems, from big to small and complex to simpleWorking with a dynamic team of web developers, business analysts, and product owners to build the best applications in the financial industryPerforming code reviews, learning from your peers, and sharing your knowledge with them in a positive, friendly wayThe ideal candidate for this position should meet the following requirements:A solid understanding of relational modeling conceptsAbility to write, troubleshoot, and performance-tune stored procedures and ad hoc scriptsA willingness to dive in, solve problems, and get things doneExperience with data warehousing a plusExperience in the financial sector a plusA generous bonus planStock options and use of vacation propertiesA more relaxed dress codeA free on-site fitness centerAmple opportunity to volunteer with and support local charitiesTuition reimbursementFree breakfast on FridaysA competitive benefits package—and much more
