Advance CNC Machining is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager who can lead the engineering team, solve problems, improve how the shop works, and keep projects moving forward. What you'll be doing
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of mechanical engineers
- Lead performance management, including goal setting, feedback, and professional growth planning
- Optimize engineering workflows to increase throughput, reduce waste, and streamline handoffs with production teams
- Troubleshoot design issues with an analytical, solutions-oriented approach
- Own the Engineering group's performance indicators and budget
What we're looking forRequired
- 10+ years of combined experience in design engineering
- Deep understanding of machining and related manufacturing processes
- Experience leading and mentoring direct reports, including excellent communication and the ability to hold others accountable
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing design or production challenges
- Ability to guide engineers through concept development, 3D modeling, prints, tolerances, and manufacturability reviews
- A mindset focused on efficiency, quality improvement, and cost savings
- Demonstrated SolidWorks experience and fluency
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field
Pay, benefits and schedule
- Up to $130,000/year, depending on experience
- 401(k) with a 100% employer match up to $5,200 per year
- 80 hours of PTO in your first year, increasing annually up to 200 hours
- 6 paid holidays
