This position requires a swift work pace, passion for participating in a great guest experience, and cultivating return guests. All position responsibilities must be performed in accordance with city, state, federal and Company policy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide guests with excellent service, offering your assistance whenever necessary. Clear and clean tables throughout the guest’s stay as well as immediately upon departure. Quickly attend to dining room spills. Adapt to changing guest volume levels with a sense of urgency. Maintain overall dining room cleanliness including keeping tables and chairs aligned and clean. Restock dining room supplies. Keep self-serve areas clean and well-stocked. Ensure tables are set according to restaurant guidelines. Maintain clean, sanitized and well stocked restrooms, following restaurant guidelines. Perform opening, closing and side work ensuring that the opening and closing checklists are accurately and efficiently completed. Manage multiple tasks at the same time while providing (equally) excellent service, efficiency, and cheerfulness. If you are overwhelmed in any way, immediately notify management. Additional resources will be provided. Do not jeopardize a positive guest experience by trying to cover everything yourself, when additional resources would ensure guest satisfaction and result in positive reviews and return visits. Comply with all city, state, federal and Company food and beverage regulations, alcohol control policies, sanitation guidelines, and safety policies. Promptly report violations or concerns to management. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent. 1+ year related experience in a similar work environment. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred. Current Food Handler’s Card and LEAD Card. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with others. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. Ability to read, write, and comprehend English. Ability to read, interpret, and understand an extensive variety of work-related instructions and documents pertaining to Company operations, safety, finance, HR, and payroll. Ability to manage cash, process credit cards, and work the cash register. Basic computer skills, including Internet use, E-mail, and typing skills. Ability to use the Company’s timekeeping system and point of service system. Ability and willingness to learn and apply new work skill sets and concepts.
