If that's you come build your career with us at Welch Equipment Company and let's continue to set the standard!Brief Position DescriptionThe person in this role will be responsible for repairing material handling equipment, transmissions, or other subassemblies according to specifications, and using hand tools and power tools. A technician will disassemble units and examine the condition, movement, or alignment of parts visually or using gauges. The technician will replace defective parts using hand tools, arbor press, flexible power press, and power tools as needed. The technician will also reassemble units and test operation. These duties will be performed at a Welch Equipment location.Job Type and Schedule: Full time, M-F 8-hour shift with overtime availableReports to: Utah Service ManagerBenefitsMedical, Dental, VisionSTD, LTD, and Life insuranceAccrued Paid Sick Leave and Vacation401(k) matchCompensation range: $24 - $34 / hour depending on experienceResponsibilitiesPrimary duty is to ensure that safe practices are followed in all aspects of daily activitiesDiagnose / troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues accurately the first timeRead schematics, diagrams, blueprints, etc. To assist with repairs and/or diagnosticsRemove, replace, and repair major components of lift trucks, pallet trucks, sweepers/scrubbers, etc.Perform routine service on equipment including fluid and filter replacementsPerform shop repairs as needed in a fast paced and frequently high stress environmentMaintain the premium degree of professionalism and customer satisfaction that Welch Equipment is known forRequirements (KSAs)High School education or GED equivalent requiredProficient mechanical knowledge requiredASE certifications are highly preferredDetail oriented, organized, and capable of working efficiently in a high-pressure environment with minimal or no guidanceSome computer literacyImpeccable communication skills
