Medical Assistant-Certified

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant (MA-C) provides clinical support in a primary care outpatient family medicine clinic. The role involves rooming patients, collecting vital signs and medical histories, and preparing exam rooms. The MA supports one primary provider while also assisting other providers as needed. The position requires at least 2 years of experience, BLS certification, and MA-C credential, with reliable transportation essential. This is a temp-to-perm role with a 4x10 hour schedule, supporting a busy 20-provider practice using EPIC charting. Responsibilities:

• Room patients and prepare exam rooms for provider visits.
• Collect patient vital signs and medical history accurately.
• Support one primary provider and assist other providers as needed.
• Set up rooms and ensure all necessary supplies are available.
• Chart patient information using EPIC electronic medical records.
• Perform duties within the scope of MA-C certification and clinic policies.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) credential.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Ability to use EPIC electronic health record system.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• Experience supporting multiple providers in a primary care setting.

Special Considerations:

• Must be available for scheduled interviews as specified; no call/no show will disqualify from future positions.
• Role is temp-to-perm; travelers considered only if open to permanent placement.
• No blood draw responsibilities.
• May be required to float to other providers within skillset.
• Must comply with Return to Office (RTO) policies as confirmed by hiring manager.

Scheduling:

• Work schedule is typically 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (4x10 schedule).
• Shift hours may vary between 6:30 AM 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM 5:30 PM.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
