Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Schedule
Shift: Nights - 3x12 or 4x12 (block schedule approved)
Patient ratio: 1:2

Requirements
- License: State or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (TNCC preferred)
- Years of experience: 2 years preferred
- Charting system: Epic (required)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical/surgical setting.
- Manage ventilator support and perform procedures related to airway control.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including vasoactive and cardiac drips.
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, including arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Assist in the management of stroke patients and implement IV insulin protocols.

Compliance / Notes
- Weekend coverage required.
- Pre-approved time off: one time off request must be listed at the time of submittal.
- Orientation: 24 hours.
- Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
- Core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
