Job Description

Location: Landfill Facility
Shift: 1st Shift | 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Pay: $20.00/hour
Job Overview
We're hiring a dependable General Laborer to support daily operations at a landfill facility. This is a hands-on, outdoor position that helps keep the site running safely and efficiently. If you enjoy physical work, don't mind working outside in various weather conditions, and take pride in keeping a worksite clean and organized, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties throughout the landfill site.
• Load, unload, lift, and move materials as needed.
• Assist with site cleanup and maintenance.
• Dig and refill holes when required.
• Mow grass, trim vegetation, and help maintain the property.
• Assist with basic equipment operation under supervision.
• Support drivers, equipment operators, and other team members with daily tasks.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Complete other duties as assigned by site leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous labor, construction, landscaping, warehouse, manufacturing, or outdoor work experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment
This position is based at an active landfill and is primarily performed outdoors. Employees should be comfortable working around:

• Dirt, dust, odors, and noise
• Hot, cold, wet, and other changing weather conditions
• Heavy equipment and moving vehicles
• Uneven terrain

The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and moving materials weighing up to 30 pounds throughout the workday.
