Billing SpecialistOur Chicago-based client is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to manage billing operations and support the complete invoicing process within a professional services environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience handling high-volume billing functions with accuracy and efficiency. Salary expectations are $80,000 - $95,000. Worksite preference is hybrid - 3 days.Key ResponsibilitiesAudit and revise pre-bill reports prior to invoice generationProcess monthly client billing and ensure timely invoice distributionResearch billing-related inquiries, including rates, client-specific requirements, fee arrangements, and write-offsGenerate and maintain flat-fee invoices in accordance with company policiesProduce and distribute recurring client statementsServe as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and administrative staff regarding billing questions and account mattersSubmit invoices through various electronic billing platforms and monitor status updatesReconcile incoming payments and maintain accurate account recordsSupport special projects and additional accounting-related tasks as assignedQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of billing experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services organizationWorking knowledge of accounting principles and billing practicesStrong customer service and relationship management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skillsCollaborative team player with strong interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Elite 3E softwareAbility to effectively communicate with professionals at all levels of the organizationThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated billing professional looking to join a respected Chicago-area professional services organization offering a collaborative team environment and growth potential.Benefits information including IRS-reportable benefits such as medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, retirement benefits, bonus eligibility, and paid sick leave when applicable.Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per yearSearch managed by: Margreth Adriatico Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Military connected talent encouraged to apply
