Within EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution sub service line, our Software Strategy Group provides top-tier investment and acquisition guidance, strategy, and transaction advisory for the software sector. Your key responsibilities As an Experienced Associate, with EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution Software Strategy Group, you will engage in conversations with private equity investors and tech leaders, conduct thorough market and competitive research using diverse sources, assess company strengths to advise on growth and technology strategies, and clearly present your conclusions to both the team and clients.

To qualify for the role, you must have Outstanding academic performance, with a bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and at least 1 year of related work experience; or a graduate degree and some related work experience. Experience in client-facing environments or technical roles in similar industries (e.g., consulting, banking, tech) Demonstrated interest in the tech industry through startup experience, internships, course work, extracurricular activities or research and writing on the subject A strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative research and analysis Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word Effective organization and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position. Ideally, you will have The ability to assess complex situations and business problems to formulate potential solutions for our clients The ability and the confidence to establish meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $100,000 to $110,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
