Description Employment Specialist IV Location: Cumberland County, Maine Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week Hours: Monday-Friday, between 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Do you enjoy helping people reach their goals while building strong connections in the community? As an Employment Specialist, you'll help individuals receiving behavioral health services find and maintain meaningful employment. You'll work one-on-one with job seekers, connect with local employers, and collaborate with community partners to create opportunities that support long-term success. What You'll Do Meet with individuals to discuss career interests, skills, strengths, and job goals. Help participants search for jobs, prepare resumes, and practice interview skills. Build relationships with local employers and identify job opportunities. Connect individuals with community resources that support employment success. Provide coaching and support before, during, and after job placement. Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and support networks. Maintain documentation and track participant progress. Advocate for inclusive employment opportunities throughout the community. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: Master's Degree in education, counseling, or social services or Bachelor's degree plus five years' experience in vocational counseling / rehabilitation required. License/Certifications: Current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and/or DMH Employment Specialist Certification or obtain certification within six months from hire date required. Experience: Five years' experience in related field required.
