Assistant Fitness Manager

Position Overview We are looking for a highly motivated and sales‑driven Assistant Fitness Manager (Personal Training Sales) to drive personal training and small group training sales while building strong member relationships. The role reports to the Fitness Manager and requires leading the PT team, conducting welcome workouts, and driving sales initiatives. Responsibilities Meet daily sales targets, including during weekends or when the Fitness Manager is absent. Promote personal training packages and build rapport with members to achieve sales goals. Catalyze membership growth by collaborating with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding. Conduct personalized welcome workouts to assess new member fitness needs. Guide new members through their initial experience and promote personal training for retention. Co‑coach and develop personal trainers through regular coaching sessions. Communicate expectations and procedures to staff and enforce facility cleanliness. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, certifications, and safety protocols. Qualifications 2–3 years of customer service experience. 1 year of sales experience. 1 year of supervisory experience. Strong interest or experience in the fitness industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven relationship‑building and influencing ability. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Alignment with our core values. Requirements Available to work nights and weekends. Successful background check. Valid Personal Training certification. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire. Ability to operate within a gym setting and lift >40 lbs. Computer proficiency for documentation and reporting.
