Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description

This role involves operating specialized cleaning and production equipment in a controlled environment, performing detailed visual inspections of products, and maintaining accurate records to ensure all work meets established procedures and quality standards. You will support efficient production by following standard operating procedures, handling equipment safely, and contributing to a clean and organized work area.

• Operate specialized cleaning equipment to maintain required particle and cleanliness standards in the production environment.
• Operate, load, and unload production equipment while strictly adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Perform visual inspections of products, including using microscopes when required, to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Carry out routine maintenance on production and cleaning equipment to support safe and efficient operation.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of production and cleaning tasks, ensuring compliance with all protocols and documentation requirements.
• Follow general production and packing processes, including handling, organizing, and preparing products for the next stages of manufacturing or shipment.
• Work effectively in a cleanroom or controlled environment, following all cleanliness and contamination control guidelines.
• Apply strong time management skills to meet production schedules and support overall operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues to support smooth workflow and issue resolution.
• Work overtime, weekends, and temporarily adjust to other shifts when necessary to meet production demands.

• Attention to detail, with the ability to consistently follow procedures and identify quality issues.
• Above average math skills to support measurements, counts, and basic production calculations.
• Above average communication skills to interact clearly and effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Average computer skills to enter data, maintain records, and follow digital instructions or documentation.
• Good time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
• Ability to operate specialized cleaning equipment in a controlled or cleanroom environment.
• Ability to operate, load, and unload production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Capability to perform visual inspections, including using microscopes for detailed product evaluation.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts temporarily if required.

• Experience in general production, manufacturing, or general labor roles.
• Familiarity with cleanroom practices or working in controlled environments.
• Background in packing, material handling, or similar production support tasks.
• Experience with machine operation in a production or industrial setting.
• Comfort with following detailed standard operating procedures and quality protocols.
• Interest in developing skills in professional production environments and learning new equipment or processes.

The role is based in a production environment that includes cleanroom or controlled areas where maintaining strict particle and cleanliness standards is essential. You will regularly operate specialized cleaning equipment and production machinery, and you may use microscopes and computer systems to perform inspections and record data. The work involves general production, packing, and machine operation tasks, requiring consistent adherence to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. The schedule may include standard shifts with the expectation of working overtime, weekends, or temporarily changing shifts when necessary to meet production needs. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail, with appropriate work attire and protective gear required to support cleanroom and safety protocols.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hickory, NC.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Hickory,NC.
