SUMMARY

The Business Insurance Sales Specialist is responsible for developing new commercial insurance relationships and driving profitable growth for the agency. This role focuses on identifying prospective clients, building strong business relationships, understanding clients' risk management needs, and developing insurance solutions that provide meaningful value.

The successful candidate will develop and execute a consistent sales strategy through networking, referrals, prospecting, community involvement, account rounding, and other business development activities. The Commercial Lines Producer will manage the sales process from initial prospect identification through closing while partnering closely with our account management and carrier teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified commercial insurance prospects.

· Build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to understand their businesses, exposures, and insurance needs.

· Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold calling, community involvement, centers of influence, and other prospecting activities.

· Meet established activity, appointment, new business, and revenue goals.

· Conduct client and prospect needs assessments and gather information necessary to evaluate risk an develop appropriate insurance solutions.

· Present insurance proposals and recommend coverage options based on each client’s unique exposures and needs.

· Manage the sales process from initial prospecting and sales activity within agency systems.

· Stay informed of insurance products, market conditions, industry trends, and emerging risks affecting commercial clients.

· Participate in ongoing sales training, coaching, continuing education, industry events, conferences, trade shows, and other professional development opportunities.

· Perform other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

· North Carolina Property & Casualty License or ability to obtain one within 60 days.

· Previous business-to-business sales experience preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to meet goals.

· Comfortable with prospecting, cold calling, networking, research, and generating new business opportunities.

· Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively and maintain consistent sales activity.

· Ability to work collaboratively with account managers, underwriters, carrier partners, and other members of the agency.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing an excellent client experience.
