Signature Healthcare, a leading independent healthcare system in Southeastern Massachusetts, is seeking an accomplished finance leader to serve as its next Director, Financial Planning & Performance!

The Position

• The Director, Financial Planning & Performance, is responsible for overseeing Signature Healthcare’s formal budgeting process, long-range financial forecasting, third-party reimbursement analysis, and special fiscal projects.
• Reporting to the AVP of Finance, this leader will oversee a team of two direct reports and four additional FTEs.
• Key responsibilities include leading financial planning and performance initiatives, overseeing reimbursement and budgeting functions, supporting monthly financial close activities, monitoring budget variances, preparing reimbursement-related audit documentation, and partnering closely with Revenue Cycle leadership to analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• The leader will evaluate current workflows, optimize the organizational structure, and foster continued growth and development across the finance team.
• The ideal candidate will be an experienced healthcare finance leader with expertise in reimbursement, budgeting, financial reporting, and performance analytics. This individual should possess a hands-on leadership style, strong business acumen, and the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams while partnering effectively with executive and operational leaders.
• Experience working within complex Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement environments is highly preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; Master’s degree highly preferred.
• Fellowship in the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including at least two years in a leadership role, required.

• Signature Medical Group (SMG) provides comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages, including primary care, more than 17 specialties, women’s health, urgent care, and diagnostic care. SMG offers patients full-scale lab and radiology services, including CAT Scan, Bone Density, and Mammography. For over forty years, Signature Medical Group has been committed to providing quality care to patients in Greater Brockton and its surrounding communities.
• (SMG) is part of Signature Healthcare (SHC) an independent, non-profit, community-based healthcare system located in Brockton, Massachusetts, approximately 20 miles south of Boston and 45 miles north of Providence. • The system includes Brockton Hospital, a 216-bed community teaching hospital, and Signature Medical Group, a rapidly growing primary care and multispecialty practice.
• SHC also operates the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing, furthering its commitment to healthcare education and professional development in the region.
