Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation services team. This role requires flexibility in providing care across both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Work Schedule

• Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)

Required Certifications

• Occupational Therapist (OT) Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Hand certification preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Rehabilitation Services:
  
  
  • Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs to assist patients in rehabilitation from illness, injury, or psychological/developmental issues.
  • Complete and document patient evaluations and tests according to established standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and update patient Plans of Care (POC) based on evaluations and diagnoses.
  • Assess and implement treatment plans in compliance with established standards.
  • Document all related tasks and charge captures in accordance with established standards.
  • Coordinate patient care efficiently with other healthcare providers and support team members.
  • Provide clinical supervision to assistants and aides, as well as instruct assigned students.
• Clerical Duties:
  
  
  • Prepare and maintain accurate patient documentation, including therapy performed, in medical and departmental records.
  • Perform general clerical tasks, such as managing phone calls, updating patient appointments, and managing electronic health records (EHR).
• Safety:
  
  
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary projects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including equipment cleanliness and proper usage records.
• Compliance:
  
  
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all patient Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Prepare and administer services in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain certification and complete necessary continuing education to meet accreditation and licensure requirements.

Education Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of the required degree.

• Location: City and State
• Work History Verification: 7-Year Work History Verification is mandatory for all candidates.
• Maximum Requested Time Off (RTO): 7 days per contract, with specific holiday RTO restrictions.
