Working Project Manager – Lead Construction Project Management and Field Operations

Job Overview

• Company: Dornin Investment Group
• Salary/Pay Rate: $120,000 to $165,000 per year (Salary) plus Performance Based Annual Bonus.
• Location: Laguna Beach, CA (Onsite)

The Opportunity

You will take complete ownership of high-stakes construction developments, serving as a dual project manager and field superintendent. This role gives you direct exposure to company ownership, allowing you to influence asset value without corporate delays. You will operate with high autonomy, driving swift project delivery across a diverse investment portfolio.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Create and enforce project timelines and budgets by building, tracking, and executing expert construction schedules.
• Direct competitive bidding processes and manage detailed project budgets to maximize overall investment performance.
• Interpret intricate construction plans, interior designs drawings, and MEPS specifications with complete technical accuracy and looking for conflicts.
• Coordinate subcontractors, architects, engineers, and municipal authorities through clear and confident communication.
• Resolve critical construction field issues proactively by deploying real-time solutions before schedules are impacted.
• Execute daily field superintendence and high-level project management simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Supervise trade contractors on-site to ensure building methods meet our strict institutional standards.
• Ensure that proper means and methods per the contracts and the drawings are being executed on-site.
• Ability to approve progress payments per the contracts and completed scope of work on the job sites.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Extensive, deep knowledge of construction means, methods, structural systems, and field operations.
• Proven experience reading construction plans, interior design plans, MEPS, conducting plan reviews, and managing multi-trade construction workflows.
• Demonstrated history of successfully managing project budgets, scheduling sub-trades, and leading competitive bidding.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• 10 or more years of dedicated experience as a Project Manager and Superintendent in general construction.
• Highly refined organizational, scheduling software, and multi-project priority management capabilities.
• Verified track record of managing commercial, luxury residential and ground-up builds.
