Forklift Operator – Stand-UpThe Forklift Operator – Stand-Up role is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to transport materials from the loading dock to designated warehouse locations. This position supports warehouse and production operations by ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient material handling while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. Key responsibilities include:Operate stand-up forklift equipment with reverse steering safely and efficientlyTransport materials from loading docks to designated warehouse or storage locationsLoad and unload materials from trucks, pallets, platforms, and storage areasPosition lifting devices under, over, or around pallets, skids, or containers to move products safelyInspect products for damage and verify accuracy using scanning systems or manual processesPerform daily inspection and documentation of forklift equipmentFollow standard work procedures, safety rules, and operational guidelines at all timesSupport material flow between receiving, processing, and storage areasMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areasPerform additional duties as assigned to support operational needsRequirements include:High School Diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum 1 year of experience operating a stand-up forklift with reverse steering requiredAbility to safely operate powered industrial equipment in a warehouse environmentAbility to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2-3-2 schedule (day or night)Ability to stand and/or walk for the entire shiftAbility to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally for restacking or material handling tasksMust successfully complete forklift training and company certification requirementsAbility to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to pass a background check and drug screeningWork environment includes:Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to moving equipment and materialsFrequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shiftExposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial conditionsRequired use of Personal Protective Equipment at all times on the shop floorInteraction with warehouse personnel, supervisors, and operations leadership to support daily workflowWhy Join Schnellecke Logistics: Schnellecke Logistics is a global, family-owned logistics provider with more than 80 years of experience supporting automotive and industrial supply chains.
