Administrative Assistant (Utilities)

Job Description

KeyStaff is looking for an experienced and well-organized Administrative Assistant to join our team with Orange County Utilities Department. This position is temporary and the work schedule is flexible Monday -Friday starting at 7:00am to 3:30pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Overview:

  • Review construction engineering plans for regulatory and technical compliance
  • Evaluate grease trap specifications to ensure adherence to code and standards
  • Perform occasional field inspections and site visits
  • Route email inquiries to appropriate departments for resolution
  • Manage and update internal databases with accurate project and customer data
  • Respond to and resolve technical phone inquiries professionally
  • Schedule, set up, and participate in meetings with customers and stakeholders
  • Edit, format, and manage PDF documents for clarity and compliance

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering and construction drawings
  • Experience with database systems and data entry
  • Familiar with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools
  • Working knowledge of LDMS (Laboratory Data Management System)
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat for PDF editing and formatting

Type of work: Temporary (3 months- 6 months with possibility to be extended based on client's needs)

Pay Rate: $19.91 per hour
