Buyer/Planner

Overview The ideal candidate will have experience planning and purchasing raw materials in a manufacturing environment and may also be involved with production scheduling. They should have experience buying metals and common machine components such as motors, bearings, and other machine parts. Experience working with an ERP system is also important. This is a role suitable for someone with about 3 to 8 years of experience who comes from a smaller company environment where people tend to wear multiple hats. A background in a machine shop or a similar type of manufacturing operation would be a great fit. Responsibilities Plan and purchase raw materials in a manufacturing environment; may support production scheduling. Procure metals and common machine components (e.g., motors, bearings, and other machine parts). Utilize and maintain accuracy in an ERP system for procurement and inventory activities. Qualifications 3 to 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a smaller company where employees wear multiple hats. Experience buying metals and machine components such as motors, bearings, and other machine parts. Experience working with an ERP system.
