Staff Accountant

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Tampa, FL. Duties:
- Staff Accountant will perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, amortizations, and reconciliations
- Support and maintain accounting processes across: Inventory accounting
- Prepare and post accruals and maintain related schedules
- Manage and reconcile a variety of accounts, including accrual schedules and subledgers, ensuring accurate reconciliation to the general ledger
- Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations
- As a Staff Accountant, you will support fixed asset accounting and related schedules
- Assist with month-end close activities and ongoing financial reporting needs
- Experience with intercompany accountant
- Experience managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting and general ledger maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to commit additional hours initially, with the expectation that workload will stabilize overtime
- Seeking a seasoned professional who is comfortable handling complex responsibilities without extensive training or hand-holding
- Multi-currency experience is a plus, including converting foreign currencies to USD
