Chapel View, a Cassia community, is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join our team in Hopkins, MN. At Chapel View , you'll be part of a supportive, mission-driven team that takes pride in making a difference every day for residents and families alike.
As a Health Unit Coordinator at Chapel View , you will coordinate information and provide administrative support to our team to ensure our residents and visitors have the best possible experience. Our ideal candidate has a knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience as a Health Unit Coordinator. Position Type: Full-Time, working in long-term care. Shifts Available:Monday through Friday, Day 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Wage Range: $22.00 to $26.82 per hour depending on experience Location: 615 Minnetonka Mills Road, Hopkins, MN 55343
Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) Responsibilities:
- Enter physician’s orders with high degree of accuracy.
- Schedule medical appointments and transportation.
- Maintain electronic medical records for accurate census data.
- Provide ongoing customer service to residents, family members and facility visitors.
- Assist with inventory and delivery of nursing supplies.
- Complete other tasks as requested.
- Experience as a health unit coordinator, or health information certification desired.
- Experience with Matrix is a plus!
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows based applications.
- Time management skills for working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
