Job Description Job Description Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Rural Health Education & Training Opportunity Alaska | Unique Rotational Schedule | $70+/Hour DOE We are recruiting a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a unique opportunity with a respected healthcare organization serving remote Alaskan communities. This role is primarily focused on teaching, mentoring, and supporting Community Health Aides/Practitioners throughout rural village clinics. Unlike a traditional provider role, the clinical practice component is fairly limited and mainly tied to training support, supervision, and occasional patient care coverage. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced APP who enjoys education, leadership, mentorship, rural health, and making a meaningful impact in underserved communities. Providers typically work: 2–3 weeks in village communities Followed by 1+ weeks off This creates substantial built-in time off throughout the year. Compensation & Benefits $70+/hour DOE $20,000 sign-on bonus Retention bonus Relocation assistance up to $15,000 Monthly housing stipend First month of housing provided Free flights/travel support Excellent medical, dental, and vision coverage CME allowance and paid CME time off Full-time preferred Part-time may be considered for highly qualified candidates Position Responsibilities Train and mentor Community Health Aides/Practitioners Provide clinical instruction and supervision Review patient encounters and medical documentation Support care delivery in remote village clinics Assist with telemedicine and clinical education Participate in village-based training and provider development Collaborate with physicians, clinic leadership, and healthcare teams Qualifications Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Eligible for unrestricted practice in Alaska Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred Strong background in primary care, family practice, emergency medicine, urgent care, or broad patient care experience Interest in education, mentorship, and rural healthcare Experience working independently and in cross-cultural settings preferred
