As a CNC Machinist / Machine Operator , you will play a critical role in producing high-precision components by setting up and operating CNC and manual machining equipment while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Working as part of a collaborative production team, you will help meet customer demands, troubleshoot challenges, perform inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Key Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 5 years of machining/manufacturing experience Machining certification or equivalent experience Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, setup sheets, and work instructions Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Basic computer and shop math skills Strong English reading and writing skills Experience with inspection and measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, optical comparators, plug gauges, ring gauges, etc.) Familiarity with AS9100 , flight safety requirements, 5S, and continuous improvement practices Core Responsibilities Set up and operate: CNC lathes CNC mills (up to 5-axis) CNC mill-turn machines CNC hobbers CNC cylindrical grinders Manual machining equipment (lathes, honing, thread grinding, etc.) Read and interpret blueprints and engineering documents Meet daily production schedules and quality standards Perform preventive machine maintenance Participate in problem-solving and root cause corrective action (RCCA) activities Report production issues promptly Cross-train team members and support continuous improvement efforts Soft Skills Team-oriented Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills Self-motivated with a positive "Can Do" attitude Ability to think quickly and seek assistance when needed Physical Requirements Frequent use of hands and arms Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks Occasional lifting up to 10 poundsStrong visual acuity and depth perception Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels Why Join Pankl?
