Senior Contracts Manager (Dredging / Marine Construction / Heavy Civil) Direct Hire | Onsite – Galveston, TX Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite | Employment: Direct Hire Reporting: C-Suite JAB Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with a leading organization in the dredging, marine construction, and heavy civil industry. Reporting directly to C-suite leadership , this highly visible role will lead contract administration, commercial risk management, claims avoidance, and contractual compliance from project award through closeout. This is not a traditional back office contracts role . We are seeking a seasoned construction professional who understands how contracts, project execution, risk, quality, documentation, and client relationships work together. Key Responsibilities Lead contract review, administration, and compliance. Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risk. Manage contractual notices, obligations, deadlines, and documentation. Support change orders, claims avoidance, negotiations, and dispute resolution. Prepare and review contractual correspondence and technical documentation. Partner closely with project managers, superintendents, estimators, quality teams, and executive leadership. Support client communications and protect the company's commercial interests. Provide contractual guidance throughout project execution and closeout. Support QMS, document control, and project compliance requirements. Ideal Background Experience in one or more of the following is highly preferred: Dredging / Marine Construction Ports & Harbors EPC / Design-Build The ideal candidate is a construction-minded contracts professional who can operate effectively between field operations, project management, commercial management, and executive leadership.
