Research Associate Co-Op, Protein Biochemistry

Keros Therapeutics seeks a research associate co-op to support protein biochemistry research focused on TGF-β signaling. The role involves protein purification, characterization, and expression to advance early-stage drug discovery programs through hands-on laboratory work.

Responsibilities

• Purify proteins to specified quality standards using FPLC and chromatographic techniques
• Characterize therapeutic and novel molecules via assays and biophysical methods
• Support mammalian protein expression in CHO and HEK cells for studies and candidates
• Document experimental and computational work with accurate records and study reports
• Present research updates and findings at team meetings orally and in writing

Requirements

• Wet lab experience with standard techniques, pipetting, and volumetric handling
• Ability to perform chemical calculations and prepare buffers
• Protein purification using chromatography methods (affinity, ion-exchange, SEC)
• Biophysical characterization techniques such as SDS-PAGE and analytical SEC
• Cross-functional teamwork and independent work capability with supervision
• Strong communication, organization, and data analysis skills
• Detail-oriented with proficiency in Microsoft Office and scientific presentations
