That's why we’re seeking to grow our DevOps Team with the appointment of one Front‑end Developer to support our Healthcare+ business! In this role you will join our team in the development of FAST, our cutting‑edge digital supply chain solution. The successful candidate will work closely with product managers, designers, and back‑end developers to create a user‑friendly and efficient front‑end interface for this complex platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing responsive, scalable, and high‑performance web interfaces that improve the user experience for supply chain management professionals. This position reports to the Software Development Manager, Yusen Logistics. The work location is Antwerp (Belgium) with a hybrid work scheme in place (minimum of 3 days/week working at the office). Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain responsive and interactive front‑end interfaces for the FAST digital supply chain platform using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (or related frameworks). Develop reusable, modular components to streamline front‑end development and ensure a consistent user experience across the application. Work closely with back‑end developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to implement and refine features and functionality. Ensure that the front‑end application is optimized for performance, speed, and scalability, particularly with data‑intensive operations such as real‑time supply chain monitoring and analytics. Develop a mobile‑friendly and responsive interface that works seamlessly across multiple devices (desktops, tablets, mobile). Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure that user interfaces are intuitive, visually appealing, and easy to navigate, particularly for non‑technical users managing complex supply chain operations. Integrate front‑end interfaces with back‑end systems via RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless data communication between the front end and the underlying supply chain system. Participate in CI initiatives by keeping up with the latest web technologies, frameworks, and best practices to ensure the FAST platform remains cutting‑edge. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve front‑end issues. Write automated unit and integration tests to ensure the front‑end application remains robust and bug‑free. Use version control and participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and maintaining clean, maintainable code. Profile Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience of at least 5‑8 years as a Front‑End Developer or in a similar role, ideally with exposure to enterprise software or supply chain platforms. Strong proficiency in Ember.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+), with experience in modern JavaScript frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue.js. Experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS, and familiarity with CSS framework. Familiarity with front‑end build tools. Understanding of version control systems, specifically Git, for collaborative development. Experience integrating front‑end interfaces with APIs and working with back‑end developers to ensure seamless data flow. Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on performance optimization for complex, data‑driven applications. Understanding of cross‑browser compatibility and responsive web design principles. Experience working with UI/UX design tools (e.g., Figma) and collaborating closely with designers. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams. Familiarity with cloud‑based infrastructure or platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) that support supply chain applications. Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools. Knowledge of data visualization libraries to represent complex supply chain data effectively. Attention to Detail: Ability to create polished, user‑friendly front‑end interfaces that meet high standards of design and usability. Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to work cross‑functionally with product managers, designers, and back‑end developers. Adaptability: Comfort working in an evolving, fast‑paced environment and willingness to adopt new technologies and frameworks as needed. Customer‑Centric: Focus on delivering excellent user experiences, understanding the unique needs of supply chain professionals. Problem‑Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly while ensuring that features meet user needs and maintain high standards.
