PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join the team of a respected leader in the full-service plumbing contractor industry. In this critical role, you'll ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while administering comprehensive benefits programs that support a thriving workforce. What You'll Do As the Payroll & Benefits Administrator, you'll serve as a trusted resource for payroll, benefits, and employee support while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Payroll Administration Process weekly and/or biweekly payroll with a high level of accuracy and timeliness. Review and validate timesheets, wage calculations, overtime, deductions, and reimbursements. Maintain payroll records and update employee information, including new hires, promotions, transfers, pay changes, and terminations. Ensure compliance with payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies. Prepare payroll reports and support payroll reconciliations with the Accounting team. Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and tax filings. Support payroll audits and maintain accurate documentation. Benefits Administration Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, and supplemental plans. Coordinate new hire enrollments, annual open enrollment, and qualifying life event changes. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits, eligibility, claims, and enrollment. Partner with insurance brokers and benefits providers to resolve issues and maintain accurate plan information. Ensure compliance with ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, and other applicable regulations. Maintain complete and confidential benefits records. Compliance & Employee Support Maintain confidential employee files and HR documentation. Prepare reports and documentation for audits, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders. Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll, PTO, deductions, and company policies. Provide training and guidance on payroll and benefits processes as needed. Perform additional duties to support the HR and business teams. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 2-4 years of payroll and/or benefits administration experience. Experience using payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, Gusto, or similar platforms. Working knowledge of payroll tax regulations, employment laws, and benefits compliance. Strong attention to detail with exceptional accuracy. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Outstanding communication and customer service abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. Experience supporting benefits administration and regulatory compliance. Why Join Us?
