Job Title Girls Soccer: Junior Varsity Coach Starting Date Immediately Job Description Mission Statement: Everett Athletics strives to educate and inspire student athletes to be the BEST version of themselves! Responsibilities Coach individuals in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport. Maintain accurate records of team lists, injury reports, scores of games, stats, incident reports, physical examinations. Be available during the entire school year to lend assistance in guidance and counseling to team members (scholastic achievement, college entrance, citizenship). Determine athlete’s academic eligibility. Be responsible for information contained in the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Handbook and the EHS Student Handbook. Oversee safety conditions of the facility where the sport is played at all times students are present. Be present at each practice session and all contests; supervise weight room, locker room, shower areas before, during, and after practices and contests and bus trips. Enforce discipline and encourage sportsmanship; standards set by Principal and Athletic Department. Attend all Athletic Department and EHS meetings that relate to the sport: MIAA, GBL, Coaches Associations, Athletic Awards meetings; stay informed of rule changes, trends; recommendations affecting sport. Provide personal support to entire EHS staff, including school principal, assistant principals, teachers. Establish avenues of communication with other adults to identify potential resources for enhancement of EHS athletics. Supervise team members at home and away contests. Assist in distribution and collection of all uniforms and equipment; coaches responsible for equipment not returned by team members. Perform any other duties as head coach or athletic director may deem in the best interest of the sport, pupil, and school. Qualifications Previous soccer coaching experience desirable. Experience in high school, college, or both desirable. Knowledge of soccer and its rules; ability to instruct players in all facets of the sport. Evidence of ability to work with pupils, parents, colleagues, and other citizens. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred. CPR Certification. Completion of MIAA Coaches Education Class and/or other MIAA requirements preferred. Position Details Stipend position – salary based on contract (FY27). Position Type: Stipend Salary: up to $3,744 Stipend. Job Requirements Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
